The International Facility Management Association has appointed Tariq Chauhan to its Global Board of Directors for a two year term, drawing on his more than 20 years of experience in the facilities management industry, according to a company statement.
Chauhan currently serves as chief executive officer of Saudi Arabia based facilities management solutions provider EFSIM and as vice chairman of EFS Group. His appointment, effective July 1, places him among senior facilities management leaders representing more than 140 countries worldwide.
The statement noted that Chauhan brings over two decades of industry expertise to the board and that his professional background closely aligns with the association’s global priorities.
Chauhan said it is a privilege to join the IFMA Global Board at a time when facilities management is playing an increasingly transformative role in sustainable development and operational resilience.
Christa Dodoo, chair of the IFMA Global Board of Directors, welcomed the appointment and acknowledged both Chauhan and EFSIM for their long standing commitment to the facilities management profession. She said his knowledge, perspective and expertise will be essential as the organization works to highlight the role of facilities management in driving organizational success around the world.
Chauhan is ranked tenth in Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders 2024 list in the manufacturing and industrials category.
